The ageing process, combined with years of sun damage, environmental factors and facial expressions can affect our appearance in many ways. There’s another major factor that’s involved in aging – a decrease in naturally occurring hyaluronic acid (HA) in our bodies. HA is crucial for maintaining adequate skin hydration and volume. As levels decline with age, we see an increase in wrinkles and a loss of elasticity, which results in a sagging appearance.
At Therapeutic Aesthetics we use Restylane long-lasting medical-grade dermal fillers. Hyaluronic acid is the main active ingredient. These fillers mold comfortably to your skin and facial structures, creating a seamless enhancement and very natural, youthful results. Once injected into the treatment area the fillers attract moisture and plumpness to the skin. In fact, the product looks and feels virtually undetectable, allowing the effects of the treatment to shine through. They can add volume to hollow areas, define facial contours and even fill in stubborn folds and wrinkles! Fillers are also used in the lips for a long-lasting plumping effect and enhanced definition. Facial dermal fillers allow us to achieve instant, beautiful results without the downtime that comes with surgery.
One of the most crucial points when it comes to facial augmentation treatments is the importance of the clinician’s aesthetic eye. Not only should the injector be knowledgeable in facial anatomy and physiology, but they should have the talent to know how to make features look even more beautiful in the context of the patient’s personality and overall appearance. Ada has consistently been complimented on her ability to understand each patient’s unique characteristics and to bring forth changes that are natural, aesthetically pleasing, and in line with the individual’s character. Her philosophy is that “a little bit of filler can go a long way, and less is oftentimes – more”. Her conservative approach and attention to detail ensures that results are within appropriate and safe limits.
